Choose Recovery Services supports individuals and couples healing from sexually compulsive behaviors and betrayal trauma. Founded by Luke and Alana Gordon, we offer trauma-informed care through group programs, individual coaching and therapy, intensives, and workshops. Our approach integrates leading methods including Patrick Carnes’ Tasks of Recovery, IFS, Brainspotting, CBT, and the Multidimensional Partner Trauma Model. About the Role
We're looking for a compassionate, dedicated therapist—someone who truly gets the deep emotional layers of trauma and recovery, and who finds fulfillment in walking alongside others in their healing process.
Whether you're an experienced LMFT, LPC, or Associate just starting out with this niche, what matters most to us is your heart, your clinical integrity, and your willingness to keep learning. If you already have training in betrayal trauma or sexual compulsivity work (like APSATS or CSAT), amazing! If not, we’ll help you get there.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Providing individual, couples, or group therapy focused on betrayal trauma, compulsive sexual behavior, and relational recovery.
- Facilitating full therapeutic disclosures and supporting restitution processes.
- Collaborating with other therapists, coaches, and team members to provide holistic care.
- Writing clear and timely clinical notes (we’ll help streamline that, too).
- Staying connected through ongoing clinical training and team involvement.

What We’re Looking For
- Licensed (or Associate-level) therapist in Utah: LMFT, LPC, or equivalent.
- Training or experience in working with:
- Betrayal trauma
- Compulsive sexual behavior / sexual addiction
- Full disclosures and therapeutic restitution
(or a willingness to pursue this training with our support)
- A warm, trauma-informed approach grounded in empathy and professionalism.
- Comfort with working independently and being part of a connected team.
- Willingness to work remotely and come into our Spanish Fork office as needed for disclosures.
Bonus Points If You Have
- APSATS, CSAT, or similar certifications (or you’re ready to pursue them)
- Experience with couples therapy models like EFT
- A passion for helping people rebuild trust, self-worth, and connection
